Mini Cases: THE NIGHT OF HER FIRST DANCE RECITAL

It is the night of your seven-year-old daughter’s first dance recital. You have been promising her for weeks that you “wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

An hour before the show, the phone rings, and it is your largest customer. There has been a fire at his plant, and he wants you there immediately. He will not accept anyone else and makes it clear that you will lose his business if you do not come.

What do you do?

My answer is this:

Well, for me a promise is something that has a strong value in my life. so If I promised my daughter that I would be there to the recital and unfortunately in that specific date that I was set for her something happened at work, I would have still stayed with her. I can totally understand that work is very important for us as members of the church because allows us to be self-reliant and help us provide for our families, however, God teaches us that family is most important that anything else. If I lose the business for not going because I chose to stay in my daughter’s dance recital, then it would have been worth it. I know that the Lord will bless me if I put my family first in my life.
