Message to Garcia

“The world is overpopulated with planners, procrastinators and political schemers.” This was one of the main points that really stuck out to me when reading it. There really are many people who procrastinate and put things off and aren’t go getters. Many people blame it on the day and age we live in with all of the technology. Yes this is very true, but there was a part mentioned about how this was the case even before technology and TV. The writer talks about how deep down inside we all want to change the world and do something that will make a difference. The key to actually performing that would be to get up and not lay around anymore. I also really enjoyed the videos. The second video focused a lot on service. He may not have meant it that way, but that is how I took it. He talks about what people think when they first meet someone new. Automatically our brains focus on the “How and What?” How can this person benefit me, what do they bring to the table and are they worth my time? This cannot be the way we approach things; we have to see first what can we do first to help them?
